Hi
the setup depends on what species your buying, i would recommend either Fire Belly Toads or Red Eyed tree frogs, they are the most recommended first time frogs,
for Red eyed tree frogs you would want a tall viv than a long one as they are arboreal species with a tropical humid rainforest setup, alot of plants, vines, branches, foliage etc live plants can be used but i wouldn't recommend for a starter, mostly all water sources can be used, watefalls, water rain dripping systems, foggers, or the most basic is just a waterdish replaced daily clean spring water, do not use tap water.
you can setup your own waterfall instead of buying the expencive one, its basically just a cork bark, small filter, and a suitable size water bowl, however if you want the steps of this waterfall let me know :), for Redeyed tree frogs best substrate is soil.
ill give you an e.g on size depending in size or amount of frogs you keeping, Exo Terra 45 x 45 x 60 can keep 2/3 young frogs etc, remembering that these frogs need un upgrade for terrarium e.g 60 x 45 x 60 for 2/3 adults or sub adults, however bigger is always better but not in a level would cause stress to the frogs.
If your deciding to keep FireBelly Toads then the care and setup is completely different.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Everyone can gets it right, if research and really ready to get one, just makesure you know how to pick a healthy one, a good setup, good products.
most kind of frogs dont like to be held alot etc, make sure its always humid and wet in the setup, arid will cause serious problems to the frog.
change water daily, makesure you know everything about feeding etc etc etc.
Good luck mate, do post us some pictures please :).

Dart frogs are also amazing frogs to keep, needing more humidity than any other species of frog, Good luck m8
