Dimmer stat.

I have been having trouble with the temps in my rankins viv, when i first got everything, i had a 60w spot bulb for the heat in for the "hot spot" but after a few days it got to over 109f, so tried a 40w but that only got to 86ish. Phoned the shop where i got it all from & they said it was because of the temps in the room going up, so the said i would need a 50w bulb, but the temps are still too high, it is still getting to 103f so i have just ordered a dimmer stat, hope this gets the temps to the correct range.
Phew!! what an ordeal for poor baby Charlie!!
