Ok this is a long shot I saw a vivarium on a Green Tree Python forum I frequant and it was amazing but the thing is he used a sealant to glue eco earth to the side of the wood and I want to do something similar but he said the sealant he used was just called brown sealant and he's from europe and I can't find a product that similar in this country, so anybody know of something that would do a similar job? I'll be waterproofing the vivarium before using the sealant/glue as it's for a D'Albertis python and the humidity would rot the wood in no time.

i dont know mate, im surprised no-one on here has replyed to this thread, surly someone must know a product that could help bomb out?

what about PVC glue?.. like paper machay (SP)..

let it dry, and then paint it?

not sure how safe it is, but i do know of people who have used it before..

I've seen a few sealants on screwfix that might be able to do the job I'm not entirely sure though just wanted to see if anybody on here would know. I don't want to paint the sealant Tom I was just told that it was called brown sealant but that seams to be non existant over here, just want it to be able to stick eco earth to the sides of the viv.

Thanks for the PVC glue tip though will look at that.

what about Tile Grout?..

i used it for tiling a viv once, its fine, and if you add soil to it, and cover it while wet it will stick, and its solid..

here is what i can find: Click here! (http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?fh_eds=%3f&fh_reffacet=categories&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB%2fcategories%3 C%7B9372013%7D%2fcategories%3C%7B9372031%7D%2fcate gories%3C%7B9372100%7D&fh_refview=summary&fh_refpath=facet_159016185)

Those brown sealants are the same as the ones on Screw Fix but aren't the one I was told about.. How long does Grout take to dry do you know? Want to get things prepared soon for him as he's growing quickly and is very active.

i left mine over night to be 100%, but i think it dries very quick, depends on how thick, and deep it is..

over night should be fine.

Most sealants should be fine to use so long as you avoid the ones containing fungicides for use in bathrooms and ones containing hi levels of acetate. Hope this helps.
