i thought i would start this thread as i was thinking about my royals, and how some of them are just so fussy when it comes to housing. lol
i have some adults that love 50litre, and some adults that want smaller to feel safer, and then feed..
what do you keep yours in?

adults are in 33ltr under bed storage RUBs,
they do really good in these and never miss feeds unless in shed.

what are the different benefits from keeping a snake in a rub as opposed to a viv?

saves space, and with racking, i find they are darker inside, and feel safer. its a personal thing, racks save space, and also are easier to clean, and move around, you are also able to build them, and write on the rubs whats feeding/ breeding etc..
its just alot easier...lol

i keep ours in a 4ftx2ftx2ft viv and provide lots of places for her to hide using cork bark and small barrels which she will often be in as these are dark but do tend to find she is often having a big strech around and on the branches, i always provide plenty of decor to hide for these to make them feel comfortable, she also has a name plate where all the info about her is, althou a pain in the arse to clean sometimes i always like to give the reps as natural enviroment as poss, i think it comes down to effort and choice ,it should come down to whats best for the animal not always whats easyest for you

I think tubs or vivs, the important thing is making your Ball feel secure, even in tubs its often neccessary to provide a hide. We have a few that just wont settle without

i had the same ty..
adult male, was aright pain, very aggressive, and always on edge, but once a hide was inside, he was fine.
Some even ball up, some dont..
they are all different, but i must admit, no 2 ball pythons are the same in looks/ Feeding or behaviour..lol
