Hey peeps,
I have never tried 'Heat Rocks' for my reptiles, I want to try one to my tortoise? Is it safe? i have heard that it causes body burns? is this right?]

I would say def a no no for a tortoise, no belly heat. Generally not a fan of them full stop tbh if your set ups right you shouldnt need one.

I've heard nothing but bad remarks from heat rocks. They are certainly no benefit for a tortoise.

Hmm, Forget tortoise, how about other reptiles? I just wanna know if its true causing burns or not true?
I agree UVB's and other heat sources are much better than this crap.

I have heard of both lizards & snakes getting burned from heat rocks

"Apparantly" the exo terra ones are safe as they have a in built regulator...
I still belive there only good use is as a door stop
