as far as DWA licenses go, where do you stand on taking these snakes to a public arena? Are you covered to do so or does the law require the shop to possess a DWA?

How about handling? Does the law state that you need one to handle or just to own?

Both Laurie and I have pet shop license which covers all DWA species. Therefore we dont need a DWAL.

There is nothing specifying how these animals are transported between locations, it's down to us to be responsible which leads me nicely to mention that when Laurie arrived with the snakes, I closed the shop to the public and locked the door. There was a few friends in the shop but all received a safety briefing and all kept to a safe distance.

There is nothing to suggest that you need your own DWAL just to handle as long as the premises has DWAL or PSL and the owner of the License is there you are fine.

I also work closely with the local colleges and we have students doing work placements with us, we had 2 students in yesterday and they were both overwelmed (sp) with the experiance. They of course were kept well back out the way lol.

Once again, a big thanks to Laurie for getting me out of the Corn Snake coma lmao.

Rob.

well you learn something everyday.

So there's nothing to stop a mamba owner (other than personal responsibility of course) from taking their snake out for a walk down the street...

I'd have thought a law against that would have been implemented. Though I suppose if you have the license in the first place you must have already shown great responisbility and sensibility.
