Fasciectomies possibly worse than the localised entry point. But potentially can reduce irreversible ischemic damage.

it would all depend what I guess, id rather a bite from a contortrix than a polylepis, but then a large Crotalus, horridus, adamanteus, atrox ect would probably be worse than a A.lubricus, its a tricky one can I take the none of the above option please? :smile:

Ha! Your not wrong!

Lots of factors to consider...like you say. As a broad generalistion....I would guess an elapid bite would be better, assuming you survive the first 48hrs. If you can avoid anaphylaxis and the paramedic's can keep you alive till hospital.....then chances are good.

Obviously lots of secondary issues with viper bites due to both haematoxins and myotoxins

sitting at work eating my lunch thought id look on the forum and i see that picture as i take a nicve big bite out of my snadwhich! not nice!
