Default My Caiman, the story so far .......

Hi all, I have had my Caiman now for about 2.5 yrs, he/she currently lives in a 6ft aquarium, but I am converting my garage, here are some pictures for your enjoyment, lol.....

Very cool. Can you actually tame a caman? how big will she get when fully grown?

Tame , no unfortunately, they get used to who feeds them , thats about it , lol, but wouldnt hesitate in biting anyone even if it is the hand that feeds them ....

Fully grown , probably around 5 - 6 ft ...

Cuviers really dont like being handled, mine wont feed for months after handling, specticled caimans will tolerate handling and chill out a lot more than cuviers.

In the wild cuviers reach about 5ft-5 1/2ft but it is beleived that those kept in captivity are smaller at around 4ft - 4 1/2ft

I have known them to be 5.5ft in captivity , so fingers crossed .......
