ha ha they usually eat other fish! one got out in our local fish shop and it ate all the guppies!

we used to have oscars and they've got the best characters!
have to say oscars really are more than just fish.....

Baught an albino from a guy I knew at a local aquatics shop, it had come in with another albino, the one I baught just spent all its time in the corner not really doing anything so went back to the shop and mentioned it, the guy then walked me over to the tank the oscar had come from and showed me an albino oscar sat in the corner of the tank looking sorry for its self and was told that it was not really bothered about food ect.

so I went home, got the albino I had baught took it back to the shop, we put it back in the tank and all of a sudden both oscars were swimming round each other and were a hell of alot more active than they had been, if this had been any other fish I would have just dismissed it as coincidence but these two had obviously missed eachother and were not happy about being split up

Awsome fish!

anyway onto what I used to keep apart from oscars.....

Had a 3x2 ft tank with around 12 saulosi and 3 yellow labs, beautiful fish full of character, have to say though it was nothing in comparrison to the tank my mates mum has is 6ft and has numerous species of malawi, have to say is probably the most impressive tank I have seen, much prefer malawis to any marine set ups.

The mistake I made was getting rid of my tanks to make room for reptiles, I do regret getting rid of some of them now :(
lovely cichlids love the pics thanks for sharing,i've had 9 oscars over the years and they are great fish
