How do they deliver them? Royal Mail only accepts fish eggs, not live fish. Though, saying that, I think they do accept some fry?

I have bought 2 albino ancistrus off ebay, and had them posted to me, and it was all dandy :D They were healthy and perfect.

Ah, well, these were posted in summer, not sure about winter. But, they were in a poly box, in a bag with the usual 1/3rd water, 2/3rds oxygen, and the bag fitted the poly box nicely so it didn't rattle.

If I remember rightly, when theyt got here, the water temps were down to just below 20C I think, and I warmed them slowly, and then did normal acclimatisation.

I also know of someone who got a job lot of shrimps sent to him, and the same was true, it was all fine. I guess these people wouldn't be making money if all the animals they sent were dead, lol.

i've sold some fish on ebay (couple of foot long oscars!) but i did buyer collect only and then put them in a polybox for the guy as i didn't think what he had was suitable, but i can see what your saying about shops i would rather browse around a shop than do everything online!
