Smile The Snake Section

I was just wondering if anyone thought about maybe seperating the snake section into only a few sections. Like one for the bigger snakes and one for the smaller snakes.
It would be much easier trying to find threads about a certain kind of snake

maybe..

i personaly dont want a "bity" forum, i think it makes it harder to find what you want, i think members should use the "search" button, if we have that set-up for the snakes, lizards, and also other sections will also be wanting the same..

for now i will say no, but i will have a think about maybe a layout change in the top section, but im open to hear other peoples views also on it.

Not everyone tags their threads :( and now since there are almost 30 pages of snake threads, it's hard finding certain snake related threads.
I love reading about anything and everything and I've been going back through them tagging the ones that are important to me to maybe read again. I shouldn't have to do that lol...people should be tagging the threads themselves

it does make the forum a bit long winded putting sections in sections lol
but it could work, also rather that the search button you can subscribe to a particular
thread if you see something you want to keep looking at that way its always
in your user CP thus easy to find.
if it is set up in one section then the others will have to be the same then you end
up with more dead spots on a forum.

one other thing that did pop in my lil mind though, maybe rather than put one pic section
lower in the forum that sometimes gets looked over,i'm guilty of posting pics in the
relevant section ie snake and other.
you could put individual pic sections in each section then the pics will be in the section
with some relevance!
i think i put that in some kind of readable form lol

I agree with this, not many people with have the time, or be bothered to look if the hierarchy was more complex. As it is there is a search facility and IMO is easy to navigate.

I totally agree mate, when i want to post pics I feel it is right to place in the relevant section as can imagine the photo section gets overlooked, so.. gr8 idea.

I'm not a fan of 'bity' forums either. I usually take one look at those that split sections into:

boas + pythons
elapids
colubrids

etc..

As has been said, if you wanna define search parameters, then use the search button lol. Plus for those new members searching on google, wouldn't that take them to the appropiate thread anyway?

So yeah, I agree with the horney doooog that each section should have it's own photo sub section, but steer away from spliting sections into genetic families
