Default a DWA question

here's a question for you, I don't currently have a DWA license, buy have been asked to board some DWA exotics. I have 110% snake proof vivs, they can even be padlocked shut if required. But is there such a thing as a temporary DWA. I'm wondering if the easiest way round it would be home visits, or would I still need a DWA for that.

You would still need a DWA but I believe they are looking to make the application process every two years which might make it easier. You would probably be better with a PSL license as the animals you keep will change so much

As above..

you get a DWA fomyour council, it will obly be for that 1 reptile, so you tell you your getting an eylash viper, they give you a DWA for that one snake, then you have to get another for another snake.
if you get a pet shop license you can keep as many as you wish, and as long as you infom them of what you have, they will add the snakes/ reptiles to your DWA license.

sorry i think you're getting them mixed up lol

the problem the op will have with a dwa license is yes you have to list what you have and update them of any changes (animals leaving or coming) you only have one licence but it will list what you keep (ie you dont have one licence per animal its per address). Of course this isnt practical as he's not keeping them only boarding them so animals will constantly changing.

A pet shop license will be better as the op will not have to inform the council everytime an animal comes and goes as of course this is expected in a shop style set up so I would speak to your council about that.

A pet shop license does not entitle you to have DWA animals come and go as you please. I can only speak for how my council operate which is fortunate for the OP because we are under the same council.

My pet shop license allows me to hold up to X amount of snakes, lizards amphibs etc.

But when it comes to DWA stuff, they want to know individual species. They will then write to you with their decision and update the schedual as required.

OP you would need to speak to Wendy about thisas I am sure she would have something to say about it.

Rob.
