Default For Milsum!!!

Hi Milsum,
I have got some Fenbendazole from the vet, & given it to them, can you tell me how long it will take to work??
I had to give 0.1ml to each leo, it had to be diluted as the vet said it was much too strong as it was in the bottle.
I also had a fecal smear test done, will get the results in a few days time.

Hi Marg,

My personal experiences with fenbendazole, are that results are quite dramatic, with general improvement within 12-24 hours, in severe cases.

Fenbendazole has a wide spectrum of activity and is considered a very good drug in this type of therapy.

I am extremely glad you managed to get a faecal sample to the vet, as this will allow your vet to identify without question, the specific problem and address it directly, in the event that the drugs so far prescribed are not effective.

Good stuff!

I'm so pleased that it will be fast, she certainly needs help fast, her eyes are only partially open & she is still most of the time, usually on the cool side to, that worries me, i try to put her back in the warm side if she is there for long. I gave them the dose at about 4.15 this afternoon, so hope for good things by tomorrow night if, in fact, she has paracites.
Thanks for your help Milsum, once again, you are a star.
Marg.
