Default I'm a bit concerned.....

As per my previous thread, we got another Beardie on Wednesday evening. By Thursday night they seemed to have called a truce (after fighting and chasing each other around).

Today Banjo (the original one) is sitting on top of the new one and is biting the back of her neck quite viciously and doing the head bobbing, whilst the new one is doing the slow waving.....everything I've read says that this is male behaviour during courtship. Has anyone ever seen a female do this and if so, does anyone know how long it could be before they accept each other and become friends?

Any advice would be welcome right now. Thanks.

Hi Anne, this is very common, females often do this to show dominance and it's just one of those things that will sort itself out.

Monitor it though cos if it gets too violant you will need to intervine.

Excuse the spelling ive had a few beers lol.

Rob.

Thanks Rob. Will keep an eye on them both.

Tom, I'm going to double check today. I was sure she was a she but have printed some photo's from the net and will compare today just to make sure.

Thanks again.
