Here's one for you
If a female snake (this happens to be a burm BTW) mates to 1 male that is a normal type then to a 2nd male that is a morph a few days/weeks later, what would happen? Would you get a mixture or is it that she will only use the first lot of sperm that she is impregnated with.

Haven't female snake's got the ability to store sperm? mmmmm, id say that it's possible for her to lay eggs from both the males, so would produce a mixture of normals and what ever morph.

holding sperm can pose a prob unless you get visuals then you never know what the baby's are,
also a reason breeders give there baby's the tag of poss het for this and that.
and also the longer a snake holds sperm unlike lizards it losses its punch so to speak lol.

right got ya, this was in no way intentional.
gary (who works for me) has a normal female and housed it with a normal male but never wittnessed any mating, thats not to say it didnt happen. However, going on the fact that he never saw it, assumed that they never mated. He since obtained a green male and put him and the normal female together, he was over her in a flash.
thing is she has now shed twice in 3 weeks which could be a pre ovulating (sp) shed but what sperm would she be using if she did mate with the normal too.
