tbh i find them like ne snake if u put in time and effort then your reward will be a tame retic , but unlike alot of snakes u need to keep it up , i cud get away with barely handling most of my snakes and still wont get biten but if you leave your retic for a while u will coem to see it and get nailed, they r veru smart snakes always watching u .
but IMO there is no better snake

I have only had one retic but he had a great temp from a baby but as runcorn reptiles said you do need to work with them to keep them tame, i would get rex out for free roam and handling regularly and as he got bigger i trained him the difference between feed time and handling time with tap or touch technique, where you use a instrument like a stick or hook to touch the snake before proceding with the handling which he learnt very quick.
I was bitten by rex in the years i had him but i would say they where all my fault, once i was drunk and trying to moving around his viv( lesson learned there ) and the other times they where feed responses which is why i started training him.
Great snakes if you put the time and work in to them.

Found this pic, very shocking. that snake must be very tame as that baby is using a scrubing brush on that snakes head.

Retics are definitely the most rewarding species I have kept, they are gorgeous and demand total respect

well
to be honest
I've always wanted to own reticulated pythons
but the fact is that I've heard that these grow very large and then are very difficult to handle

any suggestions to how to control the size of these ??
cauz I really wanna own one of these !!
