rat went "pop"

i defrosted some rats yesterday, and one of my females can be VERY agressive when she feeds.
anyway, i picked up one of the rats, and it was "leaking" a little, i asked rach what she thought, and my brain didn't switch on to the fact the boa would crush it to bits..lol

anyway, in it went, and POP... guts, tummy, everything came flying out, all up the viv, and all over the place, this sent her into overdrive with blood everywhere..

anyway, she ate it, and im going to clean her out this evening..
lesson learnt, if in doubt, dont feed it....lol

Pmsl we've only had that with smaller food item's such as pink and small mice but it's still gross lol
But saying that Ronnie one of the boa's gave her large rat a good squeezing, as soon as she struck it the rat's eye's bulged out and went instant red and am just sooooooooo glad it didn't burst else there would have been than rat gut's to clean up!

Ugh! Pukerific, lol! I could never have a snake! I couldn't feed a pet anything else that I would also keep as a pet, such as feeding rats and mice to snakes. I've been known to save ickle meeces from the cat, lol! I'm too much of a softy to keep snakes!

I fed my caiman a chick once and she chomped at it then shook it and it just ripped apart and went everywhere

ewww yuck ya i had that a few times with my boa its disgusting lol
