Default shedding advice

hello, just looking for some info regarding the shedding process.
i went to handle my royal a few days ago and she hissed at me(as if to say beat it)she did the same thing the next night,i noticed her eyes going blue
but they look normal again, she seems very shy so im leaving her alone so not to stress her.just want to know if this sounds normal?and if theres anything i should watch out for in the coming days, ive made her a shed box but she doesnt fancy it,lol.any advice will be great, cheers.

the clearing of the eyes means she's going to shed soon, this is perfectly normal and you're right to leave her alone as that's what all snakes want when they're in the shedding process.

yes they can get a little bit fiesty when in slough this is quite normal just leave her till shes shed out although a light misting 1 or 2 times a day can help it to come off in 1 piece

my boa's eyes used to go very blue when she was in shed - best thing is to let them shed and then try in a few days time - they cant see very well in shed.

Agree with all of the above. Spray her or even make a humid hide out of a plastic tub with wet paper towel in it (use warm water) and she may use that to aid the shedding process. I bath mine in warm water if i think they are having a difficult shed, which always works. All of my snakes get grumpy around shedding time, i try not to bother them too much until they have shed.

great news, did it come all off you should check the skin to make sure the eyecaps and tip of tail came off.

Glad the humid hide worked! Did you get a complete shed?
