It's not abnormal for a Royal to go off its food for a month or three,
The loss of 14gs in 5 weeks will mostly be down to it pooing,if like ours they can
poo 2-3 times in that space of time.
As for the viv size imo its twice the size a Royal of 300gs requires,I'm sure like some
have said and most people who will post with advice will suggest a smaller enclosure!
Any idea when it last shed? also assuming its shed while in your care!
All this said it may just be its just off its food for the time being.

Good point about having a poo..
its strange how a snake can lose a few "grams" by having a poo.
The Snake itself shouldnt have to go, as its acting, and doing what it should do.
Having said that, if you really are worried, take a poo sample to the vets, it would then rule out worms/ parasites etc.
For £20 piece of mind.
Also, phone the shop/ breeder you bought it from, and ask if its CB\ CF/ WC.. so that you can pass this info onto your vet for ref.

Hi, has anyone thought about the breeding season, if you have a male, it may be that, my b/p stopped feeding from just before Christmas till a couple of weeks ago, but of course i think that will all depend on how old the snake is, i don't supose it would affect a very young snake.
I have 2 young b/p's, 1 male 1 female & it hasn't affected the male, but might be something to think about.
