Have a look at this thread I wrote a while ago.
http://www.findmeareptile.co.uk/snak...ding-tips.html
From what you have explained on your husbandry you don't seem to be doing any thing wrong.
But I'm a great believer that Snakes can sence atmospheric presures in the weather.
With the fact that we have had a Very cold, wet and long winter this year this would co-incide with the non feeding responce.
Have you changed your suplier of food??

Regards Deano...

Hi ballyb1 everything sound's ok to me the only thing that stick's out is the size of the viv, a Royal is nocturnal and is very fond of small confined place's and we found with our's that they faired better in RUB's. They started life in a viv but then as they grew they slowly stopped feeding until we changed them to RUB's and also our's don't strike feed but if we leave the food in and come back in a couple of hour's it's normally gone. How often and what size food are you offering?? It's obviously not had a prob with food before now so it could just be the weather etc but it's best to cover all base's!

Dont worry to much about the weight loss too much. If it looks like it is Triangulating ie the spine is starting to show and its body is taking on the shape of a triangle, only then you should become concerned.
Titch has a very good point about the size of the Viv.
Royals are a oppertune feeder generally laying in wait for their prey, Rather than actively hunting as some other species do.
So the size of the viv may be a little daunting, Even though you have given it plenty of hiding places.
You could try putting a partition in the middle of the viv reducing the length by half. This may make the little fella feel a little more secure, and hopefully trigger its feeding response.
Once it grows on a little then you can increase the living area of the viv by moving the partition.

Hope this helps Deano...
