i would like to hear how people got over phobias of keeping/ owning spiders..
its something ive not been able to get over, i think they are truely amazing to look at, and i think there colours, and sizes are great, but i cant bear to see them walk/ Move..
i know rob has just got over his, and i a trying to see how, and if i can use other methods of trying to face my fear of them..

how did you get over your fears?..

Maybe read about them, understand them better...it really could help you appreciate them even more.

haha i haven't but im getting a spider to help with it,who nows this time next year might have more than one or be a nervous wreck lol

i always like the method of jumping in the deep end so i would just gently pick it up, the way to look at it is that this animal is probly more scared of you than you are of it

Face it head on Tom, 12 months ago i was petrified of spiders, now iv got 6 of them. They really are facsinating to watch. Trust me mate go buy yourself a nice calm T, Chili rose or something along them lines, and within 3 months you'll be hooked.

I agree with trish, the more you understand I think the less scared youll be. I am scared of spiders, but the more T's i see on this website, the more interested I am, I love the look of them. I think if i were to hold one, with someone experienced beside me, I could do it. The only part that freeks me out is when they move, especially when their fast! But If you get one as a pet, then youll have to overcome your fear and deal with it, because itll need fed, setup cleaned etc. the more your around them them the more comfortable youll feel...
