Hi,

Whats the best substrate to use in a spider and\or scorpion enclosures. I've heard normal garden compost is good as it keeps its moisture well.

My dad has decided he wants either a spider or scorpion for his birthday, and I've only really kept Reptiles & a few stick\leaf insects.

Hey,
I would say the best is ExoTerra Plantation Soil, or just normal potting soil, we use Plantation soil w/ my cousin's junglebed dwelling inverts.

Really depends on which spider or Scorp. your planning on getting, some pref. high humidity other's desert like conditions.
