Default Hungry tortoise!

I've had my hermanns tortoise since she was a baby and she's now 8, always been fine but has recently in the last 6 months or so developed a habit for trying to eat fingers and toes.. So much so that if you step outside and she spots you, she'll 'run' over as quick as possible to have a nibble.. and she seems to have gotten worse since the boyfriend just lets her do it xD

Its not agressive in any way.. but its that bad that she'd rather eat your fingers than her greens... and i'm starting to get a biiit annoyed with her following me round the garden wherever i go to have a quick chomp :P

Anyone got any ideas as to why she's doing this? :P

do you hand feed her at all?

is it definiately a sheila not a sherman?

it could be that she associates your presence with food - particularly if she's hand fed.
it could also be that you have a very stroppy tort that has taken a disliking to you for some reason lol

She's hand fed some of the time, but not a lot..

I'm not 100% she's a girl, but i'm pretty sure :P

She seems to only do it when she's hungry (which is quite a lot)... but she'll easily just sit on your lap and let you stroke her half the time..
