Try turning the temperature up in his enclosure and continue the bathing

Firstly, don't use cod liver oil. Secondly, bathing three times a week is a little excessive. Personally, I'd cut that down to once. As herman's don't require all that much moisture in their diet.

You say he hasn't gone to the loo, is that just when you'r bathing him? Have you checked his tortoise table? (presuming he's in one) What sort of diet is he on?

I find that having a water bowl large enough for our Hermann to get in but not to deep so he can get out does the trick in loosening his bowels rather than bathing 3 times a week. This does mean you will need to deep clean the bowl daily but at least your Tortoise will be doing his business.

Hi sorry for the late reply,i been away for few week.I feed him many greens, herbs and fruit and use nutrabol.Hes in an exo terra viv and the temp is 84 degrees. He has a large water bowl that he can get in and out of very easily and uses frequently but since i been away i left a friend to look after my pets and he has started goin to the loo again. You say bathe him only once a week,I have no problem with that but from where i purchased him i was told to bathe him every 3 days.Should i stick to every 3 days or change to once a week?thanks

Once a week works for our hermann. That coupled with a water bowl he can get in does the trick for ours, but yours may like it more frequently. Has your friend bathed him every three days whilst you have been gone? If hes going to the toilet now then i wouldnt change too much.
