Default two big turtles

ive two big turtles out growing my tank i brought them after feeling sorry for them in a pet shop bad conditions put them in with my other two turtles been in there now for 12 months but they are growing so fast any ideas what i can do with them dont want to purchase another tank havent got the room help needed

i was woried they wouldnt survive over winter im no quiet sure what breed they are when i got them the gut said they were river bed turtles tried to find other pics of them and only found some giant types whom look the same they are growing at a rapid rate getting desperate they are size of a small dinner plate already

At the winter you'll have to take them inside and require a UV basking light.

Maybe you should research of what size tank needed for your size turtles, Turtles do get tricky when they grow up perhaps you should buy an indoor habitat/tank and other supplies for the winter, the only choice for keeping them, otherwise you can sell them or rehome them as there are alot of turtle hobbyists interested in large-outdoor turtles.


Edit: After a lil research i can see that there is no such turtle known as RiverBed Turtle? The results got me Stupendemys which is a genus of freshwater turtles native to Latin America was among the largest freshwater turtles ever exist but its only found as fossils today, anyway but nothing known as 'RiverBed Turtle'

Can you post a photo of them for a positive id? They sound like they might be river cooter, which do get quite large!

If you really not cut out to keep you can research to what species it is and give them to a Reptile Rescue Center or any turtle experts would expect..
